Nicotine Dependence Center at Mayo Clinic Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

A post-doctoral Research Fellow position will be available after July 2014 in the Nicotine Dependence Center at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The center has a long track record of research spanning the spectrum of tobacco control from randomized clinical trials of pharmacotherapy to tobacco document research. The activities of the fellow in this position will primarily involve multidisciplinary collaborations in two major areas: 1) smoking cessation in surgical patients, including novel decision aid approaches, and the mechanisms responsible for surgery providing a teachable moment for smoking, and 2) mechanisms responsible for the relationship between smoking and chronic pain, and development of tobacco use interventions for chronic pain patients.
