To help bridge this gap, HDMC and Student SIG are hosting a webinar designed to demystify the steps and strategies for negotiating compensation and start-up packages. The goal is to equip participants, particularly trainees, with practical communication strategies and valuable insights to approach these negotiations with confidence. The event will feature three expert speakers: 1) A department chair who will explain the academic job negotiation process and share tips for preparation. 2) An industry leader who will outline the negotiation process in the private sector. 3) A salary negotiation coach who will provide winning strategies for job seekers and employees looking to negotiate their next raise.
