This webinar will be a Q & A style with four panelists in non-academic jobs. We aim for this webinar to be student focused by providing students with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of alternative career paths in behavioral medicine. First, we will introduce all the panelists and have them give a short description of their path to a non-academic job. The moderators will then ask the panelists a series of questions and allow time for audience questions. We will ask questions regarding how they transitioned into industry science from an academic background, what skills are necessary for their positions, how to prepare for non-academic interviews and what advice they would give themselves when they were doctoral students. Our hope is that this webinar provides the space for students to learn about a diversity of paths they can take with a higher degree and how to navigate these pivots.
