2023 Leadership Institute
The seventh annual Mid-Career Leadership Institute launched in March 2023 with a short virtual session, followed by introductory learning community calls and a 2-day in-person workshop held in conjunction with SBM's 2023 Annual Meeting.

The sixth annual Leadership Institute kicked off in March 2022 with a short virtual session, followed by introductory learning community calls and a 2-day in-person workshop held in conjunction with SBM's 2022 Annual Meeting.
2021 Leadership Institute
The fifth annual Leadership Institute kicked off virtually, just prior to SBM's 2021 Annual Meeting. The participants had been deferred from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 31 Leadership Institute fellows met during an intensive week-long workshop which included sessions on:
2019 Leadership Institute
The 2019 Annual Meeting welcomed the fourth cohort of SBM's year-long Leadership Institute for mid-career members.
2018 Leadership Institute
The 2018 Annual Meeting welcomed the third cohort of SBM's year-long Leadership Institute for mid-career members.
2017 Leadership Institute
The 2017 Annual Meeting welcomed the second cohort of SBM's year-long Leadership Institute for mid-career members.
2016 Leadership Institute
SBM Past-President Marian L. Fitzgibbon, PhD, began developing the year-long Leadership Institute for mid-career members after identifying leadership training as a high-need area among mid-career individuals, despite the fact that they often find themselves at pivotal career junctures where leadership skills or career coaching would prove helpful.
