The UA Sleep and Stress Group in the Department of Health Promotion Sciences at the University of Arizona is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the NIH-funded Sleep Assistance for Firefighters Project (SAFFIRE) project. This role focuses on implementation science and cognitive-behavioral approaches to sleep disturbances. The postdoctoral researcher will train and supervise sleep health coaches delivering a manualized, evidence-based behavioral sleep intervention and ensure fidelity to the model. Responsibilities also include data management, sleep scoring, analysis, and interpretation to support ongoing research, as well as dissemination of findings through state and national conferences and public safety forums.

Qualified applicants will hold a PhD in psychology, public health, or a related field. Candidates should have experience with REDCap and R software, as well as strong interests in behavioral sleep medicine, workplace wellness, implementation science, or fire service populations. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States, as sponsorship is not available. This position may be hybrid and could begin as early as April 2026. Psychology postdoctoral candidates seeking Arizona licensure may obtain supervised clinical hours through this role.
