We are excited to have you presenting at SBM's Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions from April 22 – 25, 2026, at the Hilton Chicago. Information for presenters and presentation formats can be found below.
Registration: As a reminder, all presenters need to be registered for the meeting, and present in-person. There is no virtual presentation option for presenters.
Each presenting author is responsible for his/her registration fee(s). Presenters who are unable to register for the annual meeting should arrange for another individual to present in person on their behalf. If changes to the listing of your presenting author are necessary, please notify the SBM national office (414) 918-3156 or info@sbm.org.
Presenter Information:
To help facilitate the submission of PowerPoint presentations, SBM asks all presenters/speakers to have their presentations ready on a "thumb/jump drive" at the time they check in at registration. Please plan to upload your presentation at the Speaker Check-In Desk at least 4 hours prior to your scheduled presentation time, which may mean the preceding day, so please plan accordingly.
Speaker Check-in Hours:

Thursday, April 23, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

SBM Online Planner: Check out the SBM 2026 Online Planner to see the location, time, abstracts and more for all sessions at the meeting.
Poster Sessions:
Poster Format: Poster boards will be positioned vertically and the surface area for poster display will be 4 feet wide by 8 feet high (1.2 meters wide by 2.4 meters high). The exact poster dimensions are up to poster presenters, but for ease of vertical viewing, we recommend that posters are no higher than 5 feet (1.5 meters). Push pins will be provided.
Poster Hanging Hours:
Do not hang or leave posters in the poster hall outside of your poster hanging hours. All hanging and unclaimed posters are recycled after every session. The poster and exhibit hall will be in Salon D of the Hilton Chicago. The meeting registration desk will be located in the 8th Street Registration Area. The desk will be staffed by SBM staff and volunteers should you have any questions.

Presenters are encouraged to provide verbal visual descriptions of themselves and their slides, and to use slide/poster designs that feature high contrast, larger font size, and colorblind friendly color schemes.
SBM strongly encourages the use of person-first and culturally sensitive language in ALL presentations. We recommend looking at the American Psychological Association’s Inclusive Language Guide, especially the sections on body size, disability, and race, ethnicity, and culture. Thank you for helping ensure SBM’s meeting is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
SBM does not have any specific requirements for slideshows used in presentations. However, below is a optional SBM branded slideshow template presenters are welcome to use.
