Spring in Chicago means blooming parks, lakefront walks, and world-class culture and museums just steps from the hotel. Wander through the renowned Art Institute and sit in front of the larger-than-life A Sunday on La Grande Jatte. Savor deep-dish pizza, catch a Broadway-caliber show, or take in a Cubs game at historic Wrigley Field, don’t forget the White Sox! With two major airports and easy transit, the city is one of the most accessible in the country—making it simple to join colleagues for the SBM Annual Meeting in one of America’s most vibrant and welcoming cities.
Held in conjunction with SBM's Annual Meeting, the Stride for Science Run/Walk is our signature 5K fundraiser that takes place on Thursday morning of the conference and directly supports the Bridging the Gap Research Award, providing essential funding, mentorship, and resources for postdoctoral researchers in behavioral medicine. The 2026 5K follows a scenic Lake Michigan route beginning and ending in Grant Park, and highlights iconic Chicago landmarks like the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, and Adler Planetarium, with a one-mile loop option also available. Join fellow attendees, get moving, and make a meaningful impact on the future of behavioral medicine research!
