The Capitol Steps political satire troupe will perform at the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s (SBM’s) 2016 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, on Thursday, March 31—after the poster session ends—from 7:15 p.m. to 8:05 p.m.

The popular DC-based Capitol Steps perform musical comedy that lampoons the full political spectrum.

Student tickets cost $25 and regular tickets cost $35. After October 16, prices will increase by $10. Part of the ticket proceeds will help cover Annual Meeting registration fees for student SBM members who perform volunteer service during the meeting. SBM is committed to helping these early-career members, who often find it difficult to secure funds for meeting attendance.

The Capitol Steps began over 30 years ago as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together the performers have worked in 18 Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate experience.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to see the Capitol Steps live! The Capitol Steps claim to put the “mock” in democracy and promise to leave you laughing—but don’t take their word for it. Check out a few of their recent musical numbers.
