Texas A&M and Scott & White Healthcare in Temple, TX, is adding an additional primary care psychologist to one of its clinics. The psychologist would work in a Department of Family Medicine clinic, reporting to the lead psychologist. The psychologist would be a faculty member in a psychology internship program, and work in clinic with residents in Family Medicine.

• Licensed Psychologist required. Three years post license experience in diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health disorders required.

• Texas Psychologist licensure preferred; 3 years experience in both mental health and medical settings; experience with children and adolescents; multidisciplinary team experience preferred, military-related PTSD experience.

• Excellent diagnostic skills required and research-based treatment approaches for the care of a wide range of mental health issues.

• Candidates must have a working knowledge of psychopharmacology and be comfortable collaborating with primary care providers.

The primary Scott & White facility is a 636-bed Level I Trauma acute care facility in Temple.

The Psychiatry Department has competitive federal funding with active imaging and stem cell research and the resources to support academic work.
