Consultation Program

Have you wanted to chat with an expert regarding state-of-the-art methods for measuring physical activity in cancer survivors? Could you use help on your grant’s specific aims from an experienced grant reviewer? Would you like advice on preparing for tenure review?

The new SBM Consultation Program provides SBM members with access to experts in various behavioral medicine areas. Members can access the program by logging into the Members Only section of the SBM website and clicking on the Consultation Program link in the Member Benefits list.

A pilot version of the program is available now to Cancer SIG members only.

While several individuals have graciously agreed to share their time and expertise, additional consultants are always welcome. Please contact the ETCD staff liaison, Benjamin Stumpf, at BStumpf@sbm.org or 414-918-3156 to participate.

The Consultation Program will expand in the next month to three or four additional SBM Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Over the next year, the program will open to additional SIGs in waves, and the goal is for all SIG members to have access to the Consultation Program by the end of 2011.

We hope the Consultation Program will be a valuable resource for SBM members, and we look forward to getting your feedback on how to make it better!
