The Clinical & Population Health Research Doctoral Program (CPHR)

The Clinical & Population Health Research Doctoral Program (CPHR) is one of the first in the country to address new challenges to moving biomedical and health behavioral research from lab to patient and populations. We promote interdisciplinary research training and have over 60 affiliated faculty, departments and centers. The course work is focused on advancing skills in biostatistics and epidemiology, and knowledge about genetics, behavior, social and health services factors that influence individual and population health. Applicants should have an MPH or MS degree or appropriate graduate level introductory statistics and epidemiology training along with some clinical research experience. Generous stipends, tuition and fee waivers are provided to qualified students for all years of doctoral study. For further information, please see our web site: www.umassmed.edu/cphr
