Post-Docs: Research positions available in behavioral medicine and related fields

We are seeking post-doctoral investigators with expertise and interests that align with our rich portfolio of studies in the following areas:

  • Chronic illness self-management, including medication adherence
  • Illness and medication beliefs, health literacy, cognition, social support
  • Education, counseling and other interventions to support self-management
  • Emphasis on aging

Our team consists of 8 full time investigators, post-doctoral and physician research fellows, and a research staff of 20. Our well-funded research enterprise includes multiple large awards and contracts with the NIH, PCORI, CMMI, CDC, and industry. The Mount Sinai Health System, comprised of 7 hospitals and 2800 physicians, has 2.8 million outpatient visits annually and is a rich laboratory for conducting behavioral, epidemiological, health services, and outcomes research. Access to clinical practices with socioeconomically diverse patients and a mature data warehouse are among the outstanding resources available to researchers.
