Straight from the Source: Electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes
Researchers and health care providers are increasingly trying to capture information by patient self-reporting because patient reported outcomes provide a unique perspective on patients’ health status. In attempt to standardize data collection for electronic patient report outcomes, the Society of Behavioral Medicine, in collaboration with NIH, is identifying a core set of brief, practical measures of symptoms and health behaviors to be used in electronic health records.
