FDA Announces Final Cigarette Health Warning Labels
Today the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released the final selections for the nine graphic images which are required to appear on every pack of cigarettes sold in the United States and in every cigarette advertisement by September 2012.
The new cigarette packaging will help prevent children from starting to smoke, and it will also encourage adults to quit smoking. Accompanied with the 1-800-QUIT-NOW phone number, the graphic images will ensure that every American understands the dangers of smoking.
