Call to Action to all SBM Members

Dear SBM Members,

The Society of Behavioral Medicine continues to thrive with nearly 1900 members from a range of scientific disciplines. We have seen consistent growth in membership in the past few years and a top priority of mine, as Membership Council Chair, is to keep the society diverse, robust and ever-growing by encouraging you to personally reach out to your non-SBM colleagues who would benefit from SBM membership. I hope you will join me in this “Invite a Colleague” campaign and you can do so by reaching out to 3-4 of your personal professional colleagues who are not current SBM members. It is the Membership Council's hope that each and every SBM member will approach and engage their personal colleagues who could add to the richness of SBM, but who may not be aware of our opportunities. Several easy options are proposed to assist you in your efforts to reach out to and invite your non-SBM colleagues. Simply log into the Members Only section of the SBM website and click on the "Invite Your Colleagues to Join SBM" link to access a template email as well as tips for personalizing your communication.

We're glad you value the Society of Behavioral Medicine and all that it stands for, and eagerly invite you to approach your personal colleagues who could benefit from SBM to join us as well.
