SBM Annual Meeting, New Orleans, LA

Video Contest - Vote!

Drum roll please: twelve SBM 2012 Annual Meeting poster presenters have entered the SBM Video Contest - and it’s time to pick your favorite! The videos showcase the presenters’ research as well as their not-so-hidden penchants for drama, fun, and more!

Watch the very brief videos on SBM’s YouTube channel.

Then, vote by opening your favorite video and clicking the “Like” button that appears right below it. “Like” your favorite video by Thursday April 5, 12:00pm Central Time. Best of luck to all of the contestants! The winner will be announced - and the winning video shown - during the Annual Business Meeting, Saturday April 12, 7:30 to 8:30 am, where we promise to serve all attendees free coffee and beignets.

To "Like" a video on YouTube:
You must be signed in to Google (because YouTube is operated by Google) in order to Like a video on YouTube, just like you must be signed into Facebook to like anything on Facebook.

If you are already signed in to Google when you are watching the video contest videos on YouTube, when you press the "Like" button below the video, your "Like" will be recorded; however, you wont see an up-tick in the number of total "Likes" for that video until you refresh your browser. (this is done by pressing the button at the very top of your browser (near the address bar typically; it may be on the right or left side of it – it’s different for each browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) that looks like a curved arrow or recycle arrows. Once you refresh your browser, you’ll see the uptick in “Likes”.

If you are NOT signed in to Google when you are watching the video contest videos on YouTube, when you press the “Like” button on a YouTube video, there should be a little bar that appears just below the “Like” button asking you to “Sign in or Sign up now!” The “Sign in” words are a link. When you press it, it will take you to the Google sign in page. If you have a Google account, sign in. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one right on that page by pressing on the red “Sign Up” button in the upper right corner. Once you are signed in to Google, you will automatically be taken back to the YouTube video you were watching, and then you can press the “Like” button. The number of total “Likes” wont update until you refresh your browser (this is done by pressing the button at the very top of your browser (near the address bar typically; it may be on the right or left side of it – it’s different for each browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) that looks like a curved arrow or recycle arrows. Once you refresh your browser, you’ll see the uptick in “Likes”.
