The goals of the Society of Behavioral Medicine's (SBM) Education, Training & Career Development Council include identifying and promoting existing education and training programs, and promoting the development of new interdisciplinary education and training efforts in behavioral medicine. To these ends, the Education, Training & Career Development Council coordinates a number of activities for the SBM including: (a) coordination of the Expert Consultation Service; (b) selection of the Outstanding Dissertation Award; (c) oversight of Continuing Education Credits; (d) development of a repository of behavioral medicine syllabi and other training materials; (e) provision of curricular recommendations to SBM members; (f) development of programming for the Annual Meeting related to education and training.
